Upgrading from Sage 50 to Sage 200
Upgrading to Sage 200 is a natural progression for Sage 50cloud users. With greater flexibility and versatility, Sage 200 reduces complexities by simplifying processes and automating time-consuming tasks. Staying up-to-date with the latest legislative changes, Sage 200 ensures your business remains compliant.
At Micross Logic, we have over 20 years of experience migrating customers from Sage 50cloud to Sage 200. Our migration experts work with you to plan and develop a clear migration path, and stay with you throughout the process to ensure everything goes seamlessly with minimal business disruption.
Volume of Transactional Data/Users
As your business grows, so will the number of transactions you enter into your Sage 50cloud system. With a limit of 1.5million transactions and up to 20 users, you'll probably hit this milestone sooner than you think.
Sage 200 has a maximum limit of 9million transactions, giving your business much more capacity, and allowing the software to grow alongside your business.
Authorisation
Sage 50cloud doesn't support authorisation at all levels. If you have a growing accounts team with junior staff, you may want to set authorisation limits to keep experienced staff with greater levels of control.
Upgrading to Sage 200 lets you apply varying levels of authorisation limits, and has the capability of allowing senior staff members to authorise orders remotely via a secure link, so business doesn't have to stop while you're away from the office.
Stock
Sage 200 allows full serial and batch traceability, functionality that isn't available in Sage 50cloud. With the ability to track items moving through the warehouse, users gain greater visibility and control. 'Sell by' and 'Use by' dates can also be added to stock in Sage 200, helping you more effectively manage perishable goods.
If stock management is your main pain point, there is a stock control addition for Sage 50cloud that enhances the existing stock module to give users greater control over inventory management.
Financial Period Control
With Sage 200, transactions can be validated by specific dates, or open and closed periods to prevent future or prior year postings, increasing accuracy and streamlining processes.
Whereas Sage 50cloud simply displays a warning message to identify transactions posted outside the financial year.
